YorubaLand Health Initiative
The association feels it is important and is our duty to give back to our homeland. With this in mind we lauched a Health Initiative in December 2011. The goal of the initiative is to raise funds to support and improve health care delivery in Yoruba land.
We started off in 2012 by raising funds and purchased Diabetes Screening Kits for free screening clinics in Ibadan, Nigeria. We partnered with a reputable hospital St. Mary's Hospital Ibadan who received the kits and conducted free screeing clinics amongst the poor in Ibadan in 2013.
We are currently in the process of a fundraiser to support our current Blood Pressure Initiative to deliver free/complimentary blood pressure screening clinics in selected neighbourhoods in Ogun State, Nigeria.
